Enjoyable beach house
Liked: Great location and sea view
Disliked: The sea view is great, but requires a bit of a climb up a steep path. Free parking is avialable on the road above but again involves a short climb up the hill. Definitely need specific directions to find it and where to park, particularly if arriving in the dark.
A little bit of heaven in Machicho
Liked: The views and location are perfect. Well kitted out house. We spent a lot of time at the house due to the weather being horrible, but enjoyed exploring Machicho, the local eateries and walks.
Disliked: Paintwork could do with a freshen up. The flooring could be better. These things didn’t upset our stay! Please be aware that the path to access the lovely house is quite steep. Park either at the top or the bottom of the path. Would recommend a backpack rather than a suitcase!

Liked: The apartment's location is just a few minutes from the beach and the town center, and there are shops nearby. The view is beautiful. The area is very quiet. The perfect place to relax.
Disliked: The bedroom was damp, and the wardrobe had a strong smell of mold, with visible mold on the upper shelves. The room was not clean, with dust and cobwebs present. Sleeping conditions were poor, and our clothes absorbed an unpleasant odor. Upon arrival, the landlord informed us that the bathroom door did not close. Additionally, the bathroom appeared to be only partially renovated and was left unfinished. The shower curtain repeatedly fell during use, making it inconvenient and uncomfortable. There is also a step between the bathroom and the hallway, which is easy to trip over and presents a safety hazard. Moreover, the flooring at the entrance to the kitchen is broken. On July 8th at 2:00 PM, the landlord entered the property without any prior notice and brought another man with him. He did not inform us in advance nor did he speak to us when entering. We were inside the house, in a moment of privacy. He told us he was expecting a delivery and needed to collect a piece of furniture from the storage room. When we told him he should have informed us beforehand, he insisted that he had to do what needed to be done. Afterwards, he placed two sun loungers in the garden—ironically, just one day before our departure. The apartment does not match the photos shown in the listing. It seems to be under renovation, slowly and incompletely. There was no smoke detector in the apartment. Additionally, The stairs leading from the street to the property are external and in very poor condition. The steps are old, uneven, and irregular, making them difficult to walk on safely. There is no handrail, which increases the risk of falling and makes them particularly dangerous. These issues significantly impacted both the comfort and the safety of our stay, and we strongly hope they will be addressed promptly for future guests..
