Fabulous
Liked: Spacious apartment with good facilities. Helpful and communicative host.
Disliked: Supplied towels were smelly until we washed them in the washing machine. Adjacent small road surprisingly noisy, but to be expected in town centre location. Decor a little dated.
Lovely stay and property close to everything one might need in a holiday, staff was really helpful and always available
Liked: Close to the center, supermarket and the beach. Kitchen well equipped and overall property was clean and comfortable.
Disliked: Because of the location near a church, there is a bell that rings after 8:30 am every 30 minutes, and being a light sleeper I wasn’t able too sleep in as much as I wished, but that has nothing to do with the owner and more with the location which I should have checked more thoroughly.
Liked: Good apartment in the Machico center. Be careful with navigation and don’t use google maps. Location in booking map is ok.
Disliked: Bad smell of towels
Liked: The apartment is fantastic. The bedrooms are good sized with plenty of wardrobe space and storage. The living room is huge with a comfortable sofa, plenty of space for relaxing, along with a large dining table. And the kitchen is also great with all the appliances you need. The apartment was also clean, felt quite fresh/new, and is finished to a good standard. The location is great too, with everything Machico has to offer (including the beaches) within a 5 minute walk, and it's also the ideal starting location for a variety of hikes and running routes. The balcony is also a nice extra feature, with access from both the living room and one of the bedrooms. Also good wifi speeds and plenty of variety on the TV including smart channels/features.
Disliked: As a very minor point, we found the pillows to be quite hard so maybe some additional softer pillows would have been good - but really, that just comes down to personal preference. The apartment is great and there's nothing not to like. We'd love to stay again.
Highly recommend
Liked: The location is unbeatable, well equipped kitchen, nice terrace area to sit in the evenings. If you hire a car (which I would recommend) just be aware that there is no parking with the property - however there is free parking nearby (c. 5 mins walk) and Machico felt very safe so we had no reservations about leaving the hire car. We highly recommend Machico and O Nosso Recanto for a relaxed stay!
Fabulous spacious Machico 2 bedroom apartment with a view
Liked: Fabulous 2 bedroom apartment located very near the old centre of town,just down a few side streets to the lovely sandy beach,restaurants,bars,church,walks,seafront promenade.Lovely open plan dining area leads out onto a small balcony with 2 chairs and a table,perfect for that first cup of coffee or late night vino.The apartment is very spacious with 2 bedrooms (double bed in both )with plenty of storage space,bathroom with shower and toilet (no bath),fully equipped kitchen with kettle,toaster,fridge/freezer,full hob/oven,washing machine,dish washer,microwave,coffee maker.Everything you need for a perfect holiday stay is here. Pingo Doce supermarket & bakery is only a few minutes walk away.The owner is very responsive to messages and even allowed for a late check out,thank you!
Disliked: Beach towels would be great if provided as very bulky to pack in suitcase. Also a litre bottle of water for late night arrivals when shops are closed.
