Liked: Spacious, clean, had everything we needed.
Excellent apartment, very close to everything
Liked: It is a spacious apartment with 2 bedrooms, a living room, a dining room and a kitchen. There is even a washing+dryer in the kitchen. There are enough hooks to hang clothes etc. in all the rooms including the bathroom. The white good were all of good quality and there was enough crockery and utensils in the kitchen. The towels and linen were neat and clean. The apartment itself was well cleaned. There was free limited parking nearby (100m) where we managed to find an empty slot to park all the 4 days of our stay. All the interesting places, shops, supermarkets, restaurants and beaches are within 100m - 500m from the apartment. There was even an iron and iron board as well as a hair dryer in the apartment. They even had a medicine and first aid kit if needed. The only thing I missed in the apartment was a dishwasher, rest everything was excellent.
Disliked: The water kettle in the kitchen was not working. There was a smell from the drains in the bathroom, nothing major but very noticeable when entering the bathroom. One of the bedroom had a very weird smell, we couldn't make out what it is and it didn't affect us since we were just 2 of us and we used the other bedroom. Another weird thing was, there were 9 bottles of soap, shampoo, conditioner etc. in the bathroom. 7 out of those 9 were completely empty and the other 2 had the only the last 10-15 ml in them. Maybe some time needs to be spent on this:)

Liked: The owner provide the kitchen with basic products we need for a welcome coffee, a tee or to help us to cook a meal (salt, olive oil, etc).
Disliked: Rent a car with the Booking was a really bad ideia. I need to wait about half an hour when there are so many taxis cheaper and available. Find out free parking for the car near the apartment was not easy. However there was an ongoing trail event (MIUT) with thousands of participants so I guess this was the reason...
Great stay overall
Liked: Proximity to beach and restaurants. Quiet location. Good base for Pico da Areiro sunrise hike

Liked: The location is perfect. It take only 5-6 minutes drive from the airport to the apartment. It's also 5 min walk from pretty good Supermarket, opened 7:00-22:00. The apartment is realy in the city center ca.5 min from the beach and 3 min from play ground. There were also plenty of kitchenware. In general the apartment were clean
Disliked: Nevetherless there were many places wich needed cleaning: windows, bath. The kettle didn't work. The shower was clogged, and the water did not drain. It was not fashionable to take a shower, and given that it was not very clean and did not have a flexible hose, it was also disgusting. On the first day, I wrote to the owner on Booking.com about the clogged shower, but he did not respond. There was also (dirty) laundry in the washing machine. But the worst situation arose during our stay. The owner did not send us instructions on how to get to the apartment, the apartment number and how to get the keys. We were completely exhausted and tired at night after the flight and had to look for it and ask people on the street. I also wrote to the owner the day before we moved in, but he did not respond. I had to call the owner late at night and get all the instructions over the phone. The owner did send me the settlement instructions, but after we had moved in.
Spacious well equipped apartment in the center
Liked: Spacious apartment in the very center of downtown Machico. Comfortable beds and plenty of space for your stuff. Flat is very well equipped, all kitchen utilities, spices, salt, pepper, oil, olive oil etc. Vacuum cleaner and other cleaning components are also available, especially useful if you stay there for a longer period. Washing machine with dryer will definitely help since it's quite humid. Plenty of place to chill in the living room with sofa and big TV, space to eat (with second TV). Easy communication, keys were locked in the locker near building entrance - received very detailed instruction with photos how to find the apartment. Very good restaurant down the road called Talhadas - strongly recommend! Pretty near the beach (pebble one 3 minutes, sand one 5 minutes) restaurants, grocery shop 6 minutes from the flat. Surf school just around the corner.
Disliked: Single-ply toiler paper - this should be globally banned haha, and ultimately definitely won't come cheaper. Missing soap and dish soap.
