  Magical stone cottage in a beautiful picturesque location

  Liked: Amazing location, beautiful little home with a fabulous large covered balcony with the most amazing view. Magical sunsets. Carina met us at the house and showed us through. She was excellent and checked up on us. Fresh bread at the door step in the mornings. Location a little hard to find amongst the little streets but well worth persevering!

  Disliked: Fridge was a little small and not much availability of produce to buy. Breakfast was generous. Local taverna was excellent and a stones throw away.

  There are not enough superlatives to capture how much we enjoyed our stay here

  Liked: A perfect stay: delightful and attentive host, beautiful, well-equipped accommodation, and an extraordinary view from the covered patio.

  The house and view are well worth the climb!

  Liked: Such a beautifully unique property. Everything was wonderful, then we were shown the terrace! The view must be one of the best in Monsanto!

  amazing experience in a cave house

  Liked: such a great little unique place to stay in Monsanto. This was my favourite accommodation during our two week portugal road trip. It is about a 5-10 minute uphill climb from the parking lot outside the city walls as they do not allow non residents to drive in- just be aware if anyone has mobility issues. We packed a smaller duffel bag to bring rather than having to carry luggage up stone stairways. It was super clean, modern yet rustic. Breakfast is provided with the delivery of fresh bread at 7am in the morning. The shower was great - towels and soap provided as well. a couple eateries located just around the corner which was very convenient. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Monsanto

  Fabulous location, book an upstairs apartment!

  Liked: Incredible location and stunning outside space at one of the apartments we booked for our family group. Friendly meet and greet, breakfast lovely.

  Disliked: At the second apartment we booked sadly there was no sound proofing in the ceiling and we could hear everything from the apartment above. They were very active all night this disturbed our sleep greatly. Please note If you're bringing your four legged friend check the price per pet before booking, we were somewhat surprised by the expense!
