Good for a cheap, short stay in summer

Liked: It's good value for money, a good size and well enough equipped for a comfortable short stay for 2 people. The bed was really comfortable - I'd never have thought I'd enjoy fleece sheets - I'm normally a stickler for 100% cotton bedding - but it was very comforting and cozy. The woman who met us with the key was really lovely and welcoming. There is free parking.

Disliked: The place has no heating at all and therefore, in my opinion, is not suitable for a winter stay - a) because of the comfort factor and b) from a practical point of view, if it's cold and grey/raining outside, how are you going to dry your towels etc after a shower? on that subject, the ad said it had a bath and that was my main reason for booking this one as I don't have a bath at home. There was no bath, just a shower (I think the ad refers to the whole property/different apartments within it maybe, but that wasn't clear at the time of booking), and the shower head doesn't fit the bracket properly so shoots off and squirts everywhere when you first turn the shower on! When we came in from a wet day of big wave watching, both of these issues were a factor!

  Nice homely stay

Liked: Nice comfortable place to stay with outside patio which caught the sun. Roomy kitchen area, plenty of utensils etc. Separate bedroom, with comfortable bed. No traffic noise. Furniture quite old but solid and everything was clean. Nice bathroom very roomy and a great shower. Good lighting - I don't like bright overhead lights and there were plenty of lamps.

Disliked: It was quite a long walk to the nearest supermarket.
