  Quaint, but not fully accessible

  Liked: The proximity to Portimão Marina and the very lovely accommodating hoste. Courteous and quick to respond and helpful. The layout of the flat made it easy to keep it cool without being dependant on air-conditioning units.

  Disliked: House rules stated that we must follow the recycling program for the city - but there was no sorting system in for the recycling bags provided. Accessibility could have been better - outside ramp was not really a ramp, and it ended it a rather barley hole in the pavement on top of the sidewalk not being wide wide enough to safely stay on it. It's also ashame how doors and lifts are so narrow in southern Europe. It makes an other wise accessible housing less appealing. Also finding an outlet to charge the foldable electric chair inside was rather difficult because the only accessible outlets were in the bedrooms whose doors were to narrow for the wheelchair.

  A nice place to stay but, if you enjoy swimming in the sea

  Liked: The location was perfect, 3 minute walk to Playa Rocha, a gorgeous view from the balcony. Shops and restaurants nearby. All the basics were there in the apartment.

  Disliked: A bit noisy, starting from renovation/construction works from early in the morning to disco/partying till about 3am. No oven. The water in the sea was crystal clear but very cold, not swimmable, and that was in August (nothing to do with the apartment though). We stayed for 9 days.

  Liked: Close to the beach and a lot of restaurants and supermarkets around.

  Disliked: Property didn’t have soap and sponge for cleaning the dishes! Not really practical for a short stay…
