  The apartment was uninhabitable and we were unable to stay

  Liked: Nothing - the owner cancelled our stay AFTER we had arrived so we didn't get to stay.

  Disliked: We let ourselves in and found that there were workmen on the balcony of the apartment and others on scaffolding. They were removing the building cladding with power hammer drills. The noise was really painful, and the place was uninhabitable. The owner simply cancelled our booking when we reported the problem and did nothing to help find alternative accommodation.

  The right quality for the price - we intend to return

  Liked: When we had a problem the owner reacted immediately and satisfactorily. The location was excellent with small, high quality shops and bakeries as well as excellent supermarkets. The take-away shop next door was very good and inexpensive. The beach was about 10 minutes walk, as was the centre of town. Parking was always easy - never more than 200m away.

  Disliked: The kitchen equipment could have been better - the owner did replace the frying pan at our request. We added a couple of mugs to the inventory and the owner added a very nice chopping board so this is already improving!

  Great value for money

  Liked: Apartament is extremely spacious, well equipped with everything you need. It is walking distance to the beach, old town, river Ave. Everything was great, i highly recommend it.

  Great base for a 10 day stay!

  Liked: Great location Easy to access Spacious and has everything needed for a longer stay - washing machine, tumble dryer, dish washer

  Disliked: Communication through booking.com confusing initially until we were able to communicate with owners directly. Some areas need a little TLC but certainly not enough to put us off returning.

  A great place!

  Liked: This is a very well furnished, clean, spacious property with a lift and a nice little balcony overlooking a quiet square. It’s near to shops, restaurants and the metro station. Bruno and Luis were very helpful and responded immediately to any questions we had. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

  Disliked: Bathrooms could do with an update to match the rest of the accommodation but they are extremely clean and function perfectly.

  Brilliant spacious apartment near to the centre of town. Would highly recommend

  Liked: Quick friendly response Good size rooms with everything needed for a comfortable stay

  Disliked: Little bit noisy from people above but that can only be expected in an apartment
