Exceptional
Great views, great size apartment
Liked: Fantastic beach/ocean view. Close to a great resteraunt / bifana cart, handy to centre of town via walk but location was quiet.
Disliked: Small inconvenience - No shower gel / laundry powder provided - just got from market so problem solved.

Liked: Location, upkeep, and cleanliness of the apartment were exceptional.
Disliked: Construction starting at 8am right downstairs.

Liked: Located in walkable distance from Grand Riberia center and ocean promenade. You can also walk in another direction along the ocean to visit some view points. But anyway you need a car to visit main attractions of the island. Lagoa de Fogo is just 15 minutes drive, just remember that it limit access for rental car for early morning and late evening, IMHO the best time. All is cleans and spacious. Kitchen is well equipped.
Disliked: Nice view for a long distance, but just under the terrace - garbage collector. No bad smell or extra noise, just need to look above to enjoy the ocean which is wonderful.

Liked: The location was great for traveling throughout the island. we loved watching sunset from the balcony. Aircon throughout the apartment was perfect. The beds were comfortable in all bedrooms.
Disliked: The shower in the master bedroom was very small, but useable. There was no dryer, only washer, but that is European standard. Our flight was delayed by 2 days due to no copilot. At one point we weren’t sure we could make it to Ponta Delgada (PDL)due to lack of copilots by United Airlines. There were no direct flights available from Newark until 5 days out, which was 3 days before the end date of our trip. We got the last four seats from a flight to PDL via Lisbon. We reached out to possibly change our dates to a future period, but it was denied by our host. We were told that we could get only 15percent off for future reservations. It was unfortunate, however, other Airbnb hosts from our past experience would grant this for unforeseen circumstances. We were told by United airlines agent who rebooked our flight that PDL is a difficult location to get to, given the limited number of flights and the limited airline options. Given this is the case, we feel that the host may want to be lenient with the date change policy to increase her chances of finding tenants to stay at her property.
