Fabulous
Very centrally located, comfortable and large apartment, with everything you need
Liked: This large apartment is very functional, with dishes and pots for cooking if needed, with many towels (even for the beach), blinds that close completely for blackout at night, and a very large balcony. It's in Ribeira Grande, which is a very central place from which to take little trips to many of the main sights. The check-in done by Carlos, who even helped us with luggage and who took the time to explain in detail the best things to do with a small child. All around great communication and a very comfortable stay.
Disliked: The apartment has a balcony but in the end it is not as scenic as it may seem, because the apartment is right by the road.
A home away from home
Liked: We had a wonderful stay at Ocean Terrace. The apartment was our little home from home as we spent two weeks exploring all that Sao Miguel has to offer. Ocean Terrace is a great location for exploring the island with so much within easy reach, only 20 mins from the airport, 10 mins walk to Santa Barbara beach and an easy 3 mins stroll to the supermarket and main streets of Ribeira Grande. Very comfortable and cosy with plenty of space to relax and recuperate after days filled with hiking, kayaking, horse riding and exploring.
Disliked: Nothing, everything was perfect for our stay, I could not find fault with anything.
Friendly hosts, spacious apartment, good base for exploring the island
Liked: The apartment was a great home base for exploring Sao Miguel. Maria and Carlos were incredibly friendly and very responsive. Carlos gave us recommendations for exploring the island. Maria was quick to respond to any question we had! The apartment was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. There were plenty of towels and a drying rack which was useful for after visiting all the hot springs!
Disliked: The beds could be a bit more comfortable

Disliked: The beds were uncomfortable. Need better mattresses and a few more fans in the property would have made it perfect
Exceptional
Liked: Very big apartment in a new building. Lot of parking space in front of it. The terrace is huge, great for yoga amd other easy sports. There are shades om the windows so if you don't want the sunlight you can just adjust it. Wifi is great and the kitchen equipment is more than efficient. Carlos who welcomed us and gave us some tips for sightseeing was very nice and attentive. We loved the apartment and we will definitely come back. By the way the Santa Barbara beach is like 3 minutes away by car and 12 by foot. Supermarket is just around the block.
Great location, Clean and quiet, Helpful hosts!
Liked: The host was easy to contact and coordinate with. The apartment had all that we needed and was centrally located, allowing us to get to all the places we wanted to visit.
Disliked: The bedding in the twin bed room was light- an extra blanket could be helpful.
