Fabulous
Comfortable spacious apartment perfect for a Ribiera Grande getaway!
Liked: You really get a lot with this place! Location is good for Rib Grande, it’s in a normal residential area, a short walk from anywhere but away from the busy streets. Very close walk to amazing sea views, but there is no view from the property itself. There is a keypad with a code for easy entry, no key and no one needs to let you in when you arrive. Kitchen is massive, and relatively well equipped. There’s a washer and dryer which work very well! Bathroom is also very spacious, and it actually has a double shower which was a luxurious feature; great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Overall this apartment was very spacious and comfortable!
Disliked: There is an outdoor area, a patio out back off of the kitchen, but there is only some plastic furniture out there, it’s not somewhere you really want to hang out. The bathroom has poor ventilation and the doorless shower tended to splash water everywhere. Neighborhood was pretty quiet, but there were occasionally some kind of banging like fireworks at night, although not super late but in the evening. You definitely can hear noise from inside the apartment above and next door. PARKING - I was never unable to find a spot on the main cross road near the house, but it was tricky sometimes if you arrive back in the evening. Mainly just involved some walking back and forth to the car and tight parallel parking.

Liked: Spacious appartement, big kitchen with everything you need, big bathroom. Bed was very comfortable Close to the centre of Ribeira Grande, easy to explore on foot. Close to surf beaches (5min by car), which was a big plus for us.
Disliked: Humidity causes a musty smell. We just left windows open constantly for fresh air. Quite a few ants, mostly in the living room and kitchen.

Liked: The kitchen is spacious. There are enough beds to sleep 6 ppl. There is a patio with a sliver of a view. It is a nice walk to town or the beach. Once you find it, it's easy to get in with the pin pad. There was a couple pods to make coffee.
Disliked: Finding the property WOULD have been easy, had we been given the correct address. When we contacted the owners to politely send us the complete address. They rudely said we already sent it to you. They had us on the WRONG street. Thankfully it was daytime and we had 3 adults (and a hot spot for internet) to roam the street looking to match up the house from the website. When we messaged them to say they gave us the incorrect street and next time they should send ppl the correct one, they didn't even apologize for the inconvenience of us, foreigners, trying not to freak out with our kids that we couldn't find it - yes we had prepaid. The previous place we stayed at would have been there in a jiffy to correct this situation. Inside, the bathroom is weird! You can tell that from the photos but it's worse in person. The showers spray all over the floor due to poor design. It's insanely steamy no matter what you do. This was the only place that didn't have any type of welcome basket - instead had a sign saying they sprayed for bugs, please remember its a humid island. We get it. Bugs are going to exist but yikes. The couch was extremely uncomfortable and narrow. Luckily, for us this was a place to keep our stuff for a few days while we explored this beautiful part of this beautiful island. Definitely, overpriced.
