  Great location for a short break

  Liked: Great little place for a couple or parents and child to get away, right in the middle of the town a few metres from the main square

  Disliked: Due to the location it can be a bit noisy

  Great wee gem of an apartment

  Liked: Central location to the main town square..close to the towns marina & loads of shops & restaurants within walking distance... excellent coffee shop just next door that serves exceptional hot chocolate.. real buzz & atmosphere around the town square that had entertainment some of the nights we were there which added to the holiday vibe.. the noise didn't bother us at all at night.. you could hear it but didn't stop us sleeping.. Beds very comfortable... great showers... definitely appreciated the air conditioning as we were there in the heatwave in 39° Definitely would return... the roof terrace is a lovely private area to watch the world go by.. the garden sofas are moveable.. so able to move to under the shade or move to other side to sit in or lie in the sun 🌞

  Disliked: If you have mobility problems it could be an issue getting up onto roof terrace.. it has split steps which are quite steep.. handrails can get hot to touch in the sun Could do with a measuring jug & a electric kettle downstairs

  Liked: The Light House is centrally located in Vila Real dSA. Its adjacent to the town square and a very short stroll to the promenade and marina. Its compact but adequately proportioned with a private roof terrace.

  Disliked: Noise from the adjacent cafe/bar which is clearly audible in the sleeping area of the apartment. Expect this noise to happen nightly. Just don't expect it to end before 1am. Overall cleanliness of the apartment is not to a very high standard, and could be more regularly undertaken. The Light House is really in need of a complete redecoration and a deep clean by a professional company. Its popularity has contributed to its inevitable decline.

  Very pleasant, even though the weather in March was unusually cold and rainy

  Liked: Traditional house in pretty old town street with a modern refurbishment inside. Good outside sitting area up some steps on to the roof.
