  Great place, but poor rooms on this occasion

  Liked: Facilities are great. Plenty of pools, plenty of beds, nice gym. Breakfast buffet well stocked and full of variety. Also catered for vegan guest well. Staff friendly. In case it’s not clear, this is linked to the Hilton and you get to use their facilities. Rubi’s bar was also very nice. Great drinks and food.

  Disliked: On this occasion the two rooms we booked weren’t up to the usual standards. Room 019 had an ant problem. We went through a whole can of ant spray during the week. What was worse, the cleaners didn’t clean up the piles of dead ants in the bedroom and bathroom. Also the back door didn’t lock when we arrived - you can’t expect guests to stay on the ground floor with a triple locking front door and a back door that doesn’t lock! They fixed it quickly but sometimes the lock would drop open during the day all by itself so it still isn’t very safe. Add to that a broken toilet seat, the air con didn’t work and the towel rails were permanently on. The other room was 023. That was nice but on two evenings loud water was flowing in pipes above the room. Really loud. They had to send engineers out both times to turn off the valves.. it was hassle that we didn’t need. We’ve stayed here before and would likely use again. But will be avoiding these rooms!

  Great place to spend a week as a family. Pool areas were great, shuttle service up and down to vilamoura marina and beac

  Liked: Great pool, perfect for families, apartments were comfortable with plenty of space and good service from all staff

  Disliked: Accessibility going between pool areas, restaurants and back to our apartment from the Hilton. Tricky with a buggy, good bit of lifting up and down stairs or steps along the way and I don’t know how a wheelchair could navigate it
