Liked: Location was good, basic accommodation but was cheap, good communication with the host
a really good stay in Carboneras
Liked: booking on short notice was no problem. the place was well prepared. nice neighborhood, close to the beach which was beautifully quiet when I was there.
Disliked: An electric water boiler would make a nice addition to the kitchen equipment.
Liked: Nice apartment, easy access, good communication from host. Parking on the street was easy, plenty of room (at least in March). Two streets from the seafront, and everything you need is within walking distance. Unrelated tip for other tourists: if you want information/maps/books about the region, including Cabo de Gata, look for the Alsur Gestión office just down the street. Took me a while to discover it. Carboneras main tourist office had nothing to offer.
Disliked: Both patio doors were damaged, there was minimal cutlery, no corkscrew, no bottle opener and only one wine glass. At my own expense, I bought a new corkscrew/bottle opener, two new wine glasses and left them at the apartment. I hope the owner is grateful! Also some of the decorations were a bit tatty. Not good value and not recommended. I think I am due a partial refund. Ken Brazier.
