Exceptional
A little oasis for your soul
Liked: Beautiful and very quite location. Plenty of spaces to hang around and relax. Basic but tasty breakfast and staff is very welcoming. The room was cleaned daily. It was just 10min drive to Aqua Amarga.
Disliked: Slightly disappointed with the outdoor patio. Ours wasn’t exactly as pretty as per picture during the booking and we didn’t use that space at all. Would be nice if the patio is cleaned daily too and have some space to hang the clothes / towels to dry out after swimming. That was the only downside.
Liked: It is a peaceful tranquil place, the staff are friendly and very helpful, we had a power cut on our second morning but the staff carried on, served breakfast and helped us understand the problem.
Disliked: Minimal English was spoken which may be a problem for some people, but for us it enhanced the experience forcing us to use our basic Spanish.
Liked: This is a magical space. So peaceful, in the middle of nowhere. Delicious food and wonderful accomodation.
Disliked: All was great.
Fantastic place to stay with a fantastic breakfast but go out for dinner
Liked: Fantastic breakfast and friendly staff. Beautiful location.
Disliked: The dinner was very basic. The confit de pato only was a duck leg and plums both heated up from a can. Spanish dinner can be much much better and it definitely was not worth the money.
Beautiful oasis out in the countryside
Liked: The most beautiful oasis, I can’t even begin to describe the beauty of the gardens.
Comfortable and quiet
Liked: Maria kindly upgraded us to a larger room after we raised the issue of damp with an off-smell in our initial room. Also the bed there was not comfortable. The larger room was very quiet and secluded and we slept well in the very comfortable kingsize bed. The large dry garden and surroundings made this a very nice location.
Disliked: We had no hot water for the final two days of our five-day stay. The restaurant was not open, nor was breakfast available. Neither of these aspects are communicated on the Booking listing. We also discovered there is also no room or cleaning service during low season. This was not an issue for us, but overall communication could be improved.
