Not the place to rest if you expect a quiet hotel and respectful, professional staff

Liked: The price was relatively reasonable, and the room was available for a last-minute booking, the air conditioning worked OK, and the bathroom was spacious. Reception was open 24 hours, and the man at reception was professional and efficient. Check-out was at 12:00, which was also better than many alternatives. It was possible to park on the surrounding streets, although finding a space may be challenging.

Disliked: Our initially satisfactory impression was completely ruined by the noise and behaviour of the cleaning team. Starting work early in the morning is completely understandable. What is not acceptable is two members of the cleaning team speaking extremely loudly in the corridor for hours about their private lives, as if there were no guests on the floor. I went out and politely asked them to lower their voices. One lady apologised, but practically nothing changed: the loud conversations continued almost nonstop for more than three hours, making it impossible for us to rest. When I complained again, another younger member of the team argued with me instead of apologising, insisting that this was normal because it was daytime and they were working. Later, the team leader also defended them. This argument makes no sense in a hotel. The issue was never that staff were working or communicating, but that they were having prolonged, extremely loud private conversations in guest areas. Being considerate of guests should be one of the most basic responsibilities when working around hotel rooms. The situation became even stranger when the young woman who argued with me said that she did not work at the hotel and that she worked at a factory. I was surprised, asked whether I had understood her correctly, and she repeated the same statement. This naturally raised questions about why she was present as part of the cleaning team and arguing with a hotel guest. Another staff member eventually took her into a room and stopped the argument. We did not want to waste more of our day escalating this and simply left. We stayed in several other accommodations in Spain before and after this hotel and never experienced anything remotely similar. Other points: very poor sound insulation, no fridge, limited English among staff, and no private parking — street parking only, which can be difficult or far away.

    You must speak Spanish

Liked: This hotel doesn't take the initiative to accommodate non-Spanish speakers. You can wait a very long time, but no one will even attempt to speak a few words in English. I appreciate the messages about saving water; it's great that you care about the environment and your wallets, but please also write that message in English—"Gracias." Besides, breakfast is toast with cheese or something else, but no one could properly explain it to me in non-Spanish. The rooms are warm and fine. There's no information on how to get Wi-Fi, and I didn't even want to try to find out because it would result in more awkward attempts at Google Translate at the hotel reception.

Disliked: The hotel should have staff who could explain to guests in English all the information about accommodation, wifi and breakfast, but this was not the case.
