  Liked: The wonderful attention of the staff. The fact they stayed up late to welcome us. The fresh ingredients used in their excellent cooking, such as their tomato juice made with fresh tomatoes rather than in a bottle

  Disliked: The internet connection could be much better - suggest satellite fast connection given the isolated location. The breakfast could be improved - much bigger choice of dishes and more food offered. Ie a proper meal to set you up for the day. Not just a coffee juice and sandwich.

  A fertile green oasis of calm with marvellous views

  Liked: A fabulous oasis of peace and fertility, fabulous views of the hills. There's something being grown in every corner and the owners are constantly tending to the beautiful grounds. Then there's the super friendly dogs and cats to keep you company as you watch the sun set with a glass of the Cortijo's own excellent wine!

  Disliked: The rooms are comfortable and well appointed but it can be quite chilly up above Alhama at night. The approach road to the Cortijo is rutted and rough (for a Fiat 500) and the expanse of polytunnels is a little disconcerting... but the arrival at the Cortijo is like passing into a green Shangri-la

  A lovely cortijo

  Liked: Very friendly and helpful hosts. Surrounding area had fantastic views. The cortijo itself was comfortable and typically Spanish. Rooms were lovely and beds comfortable. Breakfast was included in the price and was a great start to the day. Would return here if I m in this area again.

  Disliked: There was nothing to dislike.
