Excellent value for money. We would stay there again

Liked: I wonder if the whole hotel has been decorated by purchasing a hotel design lot from Maisons du Monde in the early 90s. All very pretty and beautifully coordinated, but probably in need of a rethink now. However the room was very bright, super comfortable and quite large enough. We chose one at the front with a little balcony that looked out on to the church below, the castle above and the glorious surrounding countryside. Absolutely divine, especially when a flock of about 50 gryphon vultures decided to circle right above us. Just spectacular!

Disliked: The breakfast, included in the room rate, was adequate. The hot food could have been hotter, the coffee stronger, and the bread and pastries were uninspiring. However, the breakfast area is bright and attractive with crisp white tablecloths and cheerful table service. Bedside power sockets require crawling on hands and knees and reaching underneath the bedside tables to reach the wall. Our knees and our backs don't like that these days! The sliding glass bathroom door needs repairing as it doesn't close properly. (Room 107). So, forgetting about any privacy, we decided to leave it open, which meant you could see yourself sitting on the loo in the wardrobe mirror facing you.

Simply amazing and I would repeat

Liked: The view was spectacular. The morning sunrise from the view was amazing. Also the breakfast was good. the staff member was so friendly that he suggested routes for hiking around. Restaurants are right next to the hotel.

Disliked: It is nothing from the hotel but the parking is far from the hotel because the town doesn't allow cars into the city. Only residents were allowed. But that's because of the town.
