  Lovely clean comfortable location, but consider packing a picnic for evening meals!

  Liked: The room with a terrace was exactly as described, very clean, comfortable with sofa plus small table and chairs outside. The upstairs lounge/bar/breakfast room was comfortable with a great view and reasonable wi-fi. It was very rural and peaceful. A pleasant self-service breakfast was good but no gluten free offerings. It was not well-signed from the main road but worth the effort, and we liked being there very much.

  Disliked: The lack of any food offering beyond breakfast became a problem when we drove into Aracena and could not find any food on a September Sunday night until after 9pm (which most foreigners find very late and would be a real problem with children). The snack vending machine did not work so we were glad of the apples we had brought. I would advise taking a picnic! I was disappointed that the hotel website ceased to function when I was booking (I try to book direct to support small businesses) and I had to pay a much higher price at Booking.com!

  Disliked: smoking outside the neighbour rooms brings the smoke inside all the close by rooms.

  Peaceful overnight stop en route to Portugal with all that we needed for a night

  Liked: The room was very clean, large and it had a small fridge which came in handy. Bathroom a little dated but very clean. Great water pressure in shower. Parking right outside our door. Peaceful and tranquil setting but just a short drive into the traditional town of Aracena. We didnt stay for breakfast but it was great having access to water, teas and coffees from the little self service counter, plus there is a handy vending machine for snacks Great facilities as you cannot walk to any bars or restaurants, particularly after dark.

  Disliked: Whilst the description says the hotel is accessed via a track, i think it should be pointed out that it is very narrow, very uneven. Should you have a larger vehicle, some would struggle to drive up it in my opinion. Just as you enter the gates of the hotel grounds there is a very large pothole which should be filled in by the owners. Don't let this put you off!! The pool is a great asset, but not as large as it seems from the photos.
