  Liked: A lovely host who let us check in early and a fantastic stay, amazing location near to shops and bus to explore other parts of the island. Great facilities on the marina toilets and showers both clean and worked well. Our stay was a Sunday till Tuesday and Sunday and Monday seemed to be the closing days for the restaurants on the marina, but just a short walk there was a lovely little bay that had loads of places to choose from. The marina had a mini supermarket but was only opened 10-6 but still had everything you needed. It was a perfect stay for the 2 nights we were there. The boat had everything we needed on board.

  Disliked: The only downside I would say was the hard cushions for the mattress, made it a difficult night sleep for two but that's all I could fault. I won't ld say there is a toilet on board but best to use the one in the marina and it was only a quick walk away. Another downside was the main gate leading to the plontoon the boat was on didn't lock but I didn't feel unsafe on my stay at all.

  It was a lovely little boat, good location, very relaxed vibe

  Liked: Superb location, didn’t hear any noise at night, not too far away from the harbour. The boat was big enough for me - I’m only short so could stand up in it, boat neighbours were nice. Nice to have a bottle of wine from the host Loved the decor in the boat! Felt like a proper sea faring person!

  Disliked: For me the mattress wasn’t the most comfortable - but I guess that’s down to preference, but it did the job, the window above the bed did leak during the rain which made the bed wet, probably an easy fix. The lock wasn’t the most secure and I did feel a bit uncertain about leaving personal effects on the boat. The toilet was out of use, but the marina toilets are only a short walk away so wasn’t the most major issue

  Can’t wait to return to the Canarian Pirat!

  Liked: Loved the boat vibe. The location was good although we were disappointed not to be able to swim in the sea at the beach in Arrecife — this is no fault of the owner as the boat is close enough to the beach, however the water was unsafe for swimming due to pollution. There were sufficient bars and restaurants in easy walking distance although some of them were closed due to being out of season so something to bear in mind. Still plenty to go at though and the supermarket, although small, was well stocked so we didn’t run short of options. We would definitely recommend and love to go back.

  Disliked: Locking the boat was problematic as described in other reviews and the key actually broke whilst we were there — it was bent already when it was handed over to us. Also some of the glasses were a bit dirty but overall the boat was clean just needing a bit of a closet check before handover. The smell described in previous reviews was just a “boat” smell and we actually loved it as it added to the authenticity of our experience.
