Great hostel in a great location

Liked: Did not go down for breakfast but from what I read was available would be enough to sustain you until lunchtime. The Sarria District is amazing. Lots of shops supermarkets bars restaurants etc just 5 min walk away. Metro train station up the road 5 mins walk. Large supermarket down the road 3 min walk. The location of the hostel could not have been better. Exceeded my expectations to be honest as never stayed in a hostel before. Our room had beds which I shared with my 2 grandsons. Wardrobe safe, table and a chair. 2 lots of Blinds on large windows. Private bathroom. Great bendy bedside lamps. Plenty of plug sockets.hairdryer. the owner gave us large bottles of shampoo and shower gel. He was very accomadating, spoke good English and was helpful. Kitchen facilities downstairs were great. Kettle, free coffee tea & hot chocolate. Fridge to keep your personal food in. Crockery cutlery. Cooking facilities. Plenty of tables & chairs. Living area was good also with sofas books board games tv. Outside table tennis. Up on top floor was a roof terrace with plenty of tables & chairs. Plants too which added to the enjoyment of relaxing up there. There is also a Dominoes around the corner for those who like that sort of pizza. We ate at Martins restaurant twice had t bone steak to share which was good value at €35 came with chips & peppers. Bit pricey for the drinks tho. We ate at Spanish bars. Found a lovely burger joint in the Sarria area. Cheap too. Had tapas quite a lot as we were out a lot so small bites were ample for us.took the metro to Las Ramblas. A change of train which was no problem. Off one train n step onto another without having to cross over or walk up stairs lift. Walked along the harbour which also has a shopping center. Was disappointed the statues were not at Las Ramblas as construction work was all along there, but we enjoyed it all the same. The food market Is amazing. A must for foodies. All kinds of foods fish seafood meats etc.

    Disliked: Nothing.

Excellent budget hotel with great bus connections

Liked: Small room but enough to fit 3 people to shower and sleep. For the money we paid we got comfort, private bathroom and very good location that connects you with the rest of the city. Be aware that this is a hostel that is very cheap, do not expect anything luxury. You will find anything you need for a basic stay but nothing more than that. The breakfast is standard hostel breakfast, enough to get you trough the lunch.

Disliked: Nothing. Perfect value for the money!

Liked: AN ABSOLUTE DISASTER! NEVER, EVER AGAIN! DO NOT STAY HERE! Seriously, people, do yourselves a favour and stay away from this place! Everything is at least 60 years old, worn out, neglected, and absolutely disgusting. This place is nothing more than a filthy, stinking dump. The smell in the room was so unbearable that we had to leave the windows open all night just to air the place out. And the location? A homeless person sleeps right underneath the window. Absolutely appalling! Breakfast? Don't even get me started! The exact same pathetic selection every single morning: a baguette, cheap cheese, butter or jam, and green or black tea. Coffee? More like some disgusting, undrinkable swill. Calling this breakfast is an insult to the word itself. The whole place is run-down, unpleasant, and completely unacceptable. I honestly cannot believe that accommodation of this standard is even allowed to be listed on Booking.com. I HAVE NEVER STAYED IN SUCH A DISGUSTING DUMP IN MY ENTIRE LIFE! Save your money, save yourself the disappointment, and STAY AWAY! NEVER AGAIN. NOT IN A MILLION YEARS.
