  Charming town worth staying in for a couple of nights as there is enough to do in the area

  Liked: The location could not have been better. Begur is the most authentic and pretty town. We could walk around the town to restaurants and shops. we felt safe and secure at all times. Sadly the roof top bar area was closed as we were there in October but the pool area is beautiful. You can drive to beautiful coastal towns in the area but you do need to have a car

  Disliked: There is no parking outside the hotel in fact you have to "double park" and off load luggage in the road near the hotel - not sure how you handle this as a solo traveller as you cannot leave the vehicle unattended. we then paid for parking in an underground garage owned by the hotel a short walks away There are other open parkings near the hotel but they are further away and Im not sure how much you pay for this type of parking

  A wonderful time in one of Costa Brava’s nicest villages, I’d recommend Alta house to any one

  Liked: The location is superb, excellent value for money, super comfortable bed & plenty of wardrobe space. We had the basic room without a balcony but were able to open large window onto quiet street. Breakfast was thoroughly enjoyable & the outside space by the pool is very relaxing. Lorenzo was soo welcoming on our arrival and couldn’t do enough for us.

  Disliked: It’s only a small thing but we would have preferred to have a kettle with coffee & tea making facility in the room.

  Very good, would highly recommend but expensive for value

  Liked: Located right in the heart of the city and close to some of the best beaches in the area. Everything was clean. Very good breakfast. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Directions for parking and checkin were clear.

  Disliked: Mattress for me was very hard. A little bit of miscommunication about a sign in the lobby about rooftop yoga (we thought it was an included benefit, it was 10 euros/person which we found out after we signed up, we still would have gone but would have been better to know before signing up and specifically that we had to pay cash). Overall price is quite high for value.

  Liked: Design, backyard, people were nice.

  Disliked: The shower was broken and nobody came to fix it, the breakfast was not great, very little veggie options, and the coffee machine was breaking.
