  BACK TO THE 1960s IN BEJAR

  Liked: This was all very basic, good for Spaniards, not for tourists. The only attraction in Bejar (the Duke's Palace) is always closed.

  Disliked: There are quite a few hotels in Béjar. Enough choice!

  Cute caring and attentive owners. Good stop for cyclists

  Liked: The people who run it were very kind and helpful. Despite our pocito Spanish, they managed to communicate everything we needed to know. The man gave us a map of the town and showed us things to see. We could store our touring bicycles securely in a room on the ground floor. Our room was quite large (twin deluxe). Béjar has a fascinating textile museum; while lacking in interpretative information, it is extensive and interesting nonetheless.

  Disliked: Only minor gripe was that the WIFI didn't reach our room, but we could use it in the breakfast room.
