Characterful, pet-friendly hotel in beautiful mountain village

Liked: Candelario is a beautiful mountain village and the posada is an old and characterful building. There is a public car park nearby. The proprietor is friendly and welcoming and plays relaxing jazz music at breakfast - what a wonderful way to start the day! Best of all we were able to stay with our four dogs so a big tick in the pet-friendly box. The photo is the view from our balcony.

    Disliked: All fine.

Only one night,so short but very, very sweet stay!!

Liked: Very pleasant stay in the beautiful village of Candelario! Lovely bedroom with balcony. The host was extremely attentive and breakfast,in the charming was just right too! The only problem we had was with the heat, but that was because we visited when most of Spain was suffering from a particularly hot heatwave and of course, there was little that the hotel could do about that because due to the special situation of Candelario, buildings such as where the hotel is situated certain architectural norms must be obeyed.

Liked: Lovely quaint hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Village is beautiful and historic with fabulous bars and restaurants

Disliked: A heads up that we had booked the night of the all night music festival would have been helpful. Not very restful whilst traveling

Good for an overnight stay. Candelaria is a lovely town, preserved in history

Liked: Historic inn in the heart of atmospheric Candelaria. Host was welcoming and informative.

Disliked: Breakfast was substandard. Rooms and common areas need updating.
