Disliked: Poor air-conditioning
Conveniently located between plane and bus transport
Liked: It was fine for a one-night stay between plane and bus trips. Quiet, clean, nice little restaurant on the premises. And the hostess was very kind and helpful.
Disliked: First room they sent us to had not been cleaned, but the receptionists seemed quite embarrassed and quickly got us to another, good room.
Liked: There is two option get to the city, bus and train bought less 5 min walking. Same is for Lidl.
Disliked: Would be good to have little fridge.
Liked: The staff were amazing on the reception. Helping us after our van had broken down. Liaising with the garage over the repair.
Disliked: We were charged different prices at the bar for the same things every morning. When the guy with grey hair served us it was always a lot more expensive. The lady, she charged a more realistic prices for cafe con leche and tostadas. He charged us 2.30 for a coffee and she charged us 1.70 seems they had two prices on the till as it was an epos system. After living in Spain for 5 years we felt the higher price was for holiday makers, the other or locals. Wrong really, but it most definitely happens.
Easy overnight stay
Liked: Roadside hotel outside Santander, not far from the airport. Good value for the price. It’s clean, the beds are comfy, plenty of hot water and soft towels. The staff is friendly and the bar serves hot food at good prices. Perfect for an overnight stay.
Disliked: The building is old, and while it seems to have been refurbished from the original, it has the feeling of a pension/hostel.
Liked: Staff was friendly.
Disliked: Could have been cleaner.
