  Short break in Caceres

  Liked: We stayed here for 2 nights whilst exploring the old town of Caceres. The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk away from the ' old town' and is also very close to a lovely big park and a modern shopping centre. We used the hotel underground car park ( paid) which was easy to access and secure. However there did appear to be lots of free on street car parking close by. Our room was large and spacious and although the bathroom was slightly dated it was large, clean and the over bath shower was very powerful. ( As an older person I did not find the bath too high to step in to to use the shower as is sometimes the case). The staff we met were all polite and professional. We had breakfast each morning which was a buffet with plenty of choice. One evening we also had a meal in the hotel cafe/bar which was good and not as expensive as we thought it might have been!

  Disliked: The only disappointment was that the pool was closed due to the unseasonally bad weather but this was something that was beyond the hotel's control and we understood.
