Cosy, rustic, happy stay in the Pynenees
Liked: This was a cosy, rustic appartment in which we felt comfortable and at home, a great base for exploring the Pyrenees. Nice that there were one or 2 DVDs in English, one of which we watched! Also great that board games very provided. Parking easy and nearby with lift access. The owner, Carolina, met us after difficult communications due to our phone not working properly, but we made it! She was very helpful and we used Google Translate to communicate! A very helpful waiter at the local bar gave us additional directions to the appartment first and let us use his phone, very kind, as we arrived late with no wifi and were worried about finding the place. We slept well here; amazing view from the little balcony where we ate our meals. Local supermarket open late. We drove to Astun, about 7 km from Can-Franc, so very accessible, and ascended the chair lift, outstanding views taking us to top for a further hike. Lots of sheep and mini horses with bells on- quite surreal! -Thank you very much!
Disliked: We couldn't find a kettle and no oven, although we managed with the microwave and hob. A few more DVDs in English, maybe? Mattress a little bit hard... however we slept ok.
