Exceptional
A relaxing stay in a surprisingly lovely city
Liked: We booked this place because it's a houseboat with a jacuzzi. I didn't have high expectations of Vigo, so I looked forward to spending a lot of time in the jacuzzi with a glass of wine and a cheeseboard. On the positives, the boat is very comfortable and relaxing. You're a 5-minute walk from a decent grocery store, and Vigo is a lovely city to explore. I would recommend the Questo scavenger hunt as a way to get the lay of the land. Once it's hot, the jacuzzi is fantastic. Perfect size for two, and there's nothing like sitting in a hot tub on a cold morning before the sun comes up looking at the stars.
Disliked: First off, know that parking is nearby and is about EUR20 per day (the parking is about a 7-minute walk to the boat). We were told how to turn the jacuzzi on and that it would take "a couple of hours" to heat to its target temperature. It took 24, although in 12 it was warm enough. So not as much jacuzzi time as we would have liked. Also, the boat does not have a kettle - it has a Bosch Tassimo, which needed descaling, so we were never able to make it work. Also no coffee "tablets" were provided. Fortunately there is a functioning microwave so hot water was possible. There is one flimsy plastic knife on board, which I could not use to cut cheese. There was one bath towel (for three guests).

Liked: El barco-apartamento es genial si quieres disfrutar de la ciudad pero también tener un sitio donde descansar y apreciar la tranquilidad. Es un pequeño paraíso justo al lado de todo que uno necesite para disfrutar de Vigo.
Liked: They cancelled our stay two hours before we were supposed to arrive. We had booked six months in advance.
