A very nice place that can act as a wonderful base for your Sierra Nevada hiking!

Liked: I really liked the atmosphere of the place, it was clean and it had a style of its own. The kitchen appliances were useful and intuitive. Also the location was extraordinary, close to the church with a nice view of the valley below.

Disliked: We could have used some very basic kitchen condiments, but we were able to find some in a nearby shop. Overall we were satisfied with the accommodation and we mostly used it as a place to sleep. I don't have negative things to say.

Lovely place, but needs a/c in August

Liked: Great location for the Jazz Blues festival. Quiet side street, nice house. Accepts pets.

Disliked: Too hot in August, needs an air conditioner.

    Good value, traditional Alpujarran townhouse

Liked: Lovely secluded location & traditional townhouse

Disliked: Struggled to sleep without aircon, but we knew it didnt have any, so no-one’s fault.

Great location, large, clean comfortable apartment

Liked: Great location. Very large and comfortable apartment with a good kitchen and bathroom. We were only two but we could have had a bigger group

Disliked: Really hard to find, although the owner sent us clear directions. The fireplace was great but started smoking at some point

Liked: The accommodation is in a good location if you are walking the GR4, but that’s about all the positives. See my comments in the “cons” section.

Disliked: The kitchen equipment is very basic. There were no towels in the bathroom. The beds have plush sheets made entirely of synthetic material, which seem to be full of dust. I had to take my antiallergic medication to be able to sleep in them. The neighbors are noisy and can be heard through the walls and ceiling the whole evening, as if they were right next to you. The only window faces the street and looks directly at a wall from the living room. The bedrooms have no windows at all. Overall, it is very dark inside and feels like a dungeon. It seems there is no open shop in the village, so be prepared and buy food on the way. This is probably a good spot to rest for one night if you are walking the GR4, but otherwise I would not recommend staying for more nights.
