Liked: Very nice, big grounds with pool. Very well taken care of property with typical but also querky decorations. Very friendly staff and nice breakfast.
A very pleasant one night stay
Liked: A fabulous hotel. Stylish and rather grand. Friendly staff, very nice food. English spoken. Secure parking for my motorcycle.
Communication by the hotel was very poor and we felt misled about food availability and their pet policies
Liked: It’s very smart and has spacious gardens.
Disliked: We notified the property in advance that we have a dog. When we arrived, the lady was very reluctant to accept the dog because it is 30kg in weight. Not a good welcome when you are tired from travelling. Then we were told that the chef was away so the restaurant was closed. The hotel lady was not helpful and all nearby restaurants were also closed so we had to buy food from a local shop. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Liked: This hotel is an absolute gem ⭐. Family‑run and full of charm — some might call it dated, but we’d say it’s wonderfully characterful, with old‑world touches in all the right places. The mother‑and‑daughter team who looked after us were just lovely 😊. Warm, friendly, and clearly enjoying what they do. It makes such a difference when people genuinely want you to feel welcome. Storing our bicycles safely inside was no trouble at all, and both our evening meal and breakfast were delicious. We’d happily stay here again, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to family and friends.
Liked: It's a very nice place with great food to purchase. We could walk around and enjoy a day away from the city
Disliked: The pool was not ready to be used. Probably because it was not summer yet it looked like it had not been cleaned in a long time. But it was a very hot day and we were hoping to use it.
Liked: Amazing location, good value - I hope it continues this way.
