  A great overnight stop on the journey across Spain to Portugal

  Liked: Colourful and comfortable dog-friendly house just off the Autovia across Spain. The garden is paved and secure so our dog could run freely. We could bring the car inside the yard too. It is a 5 minute walk into the walled town of Ciudad Rodrigo which is a delight to explore with historic buildings, winding streets, bars and restaurants. Right outside the property there are riverside walks, perfect for dog walking. Very comfy beds and sofa.

  Disliked: A little bit of maintenance/deep cleaning is needed.

  Liked: This was our second stay at this accommodation and it was just as perfect as the first. The apartment is extremely nice, very spacious, and absolutely spotless. The location is excellent, making it very convenient for our travels. We especially loved the enclosed outside area with table and chairs – perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine, and very safe for our dog to mooch around. Jesús, the owner, is always quick to respond and very helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. We’ll definitely be booking again in January for our return journey to Portugal.
