Good for short stay
A characterful hotel with spacious, very clean rooms
Liked: A good provincial hotel with plenty of character. It’s older and a little more worn around the edges than the other hotels we stayed in, with fewer facilities, but very clean. My room on the top floor, under the eaves, was enormous, with a remarkable amount of floor space. Highly recommend a visit to El Capricho de Gaudi - and the leather shop on Calle Marqués de Comillas!
Liked: Off road parking and a few minutes walk to the centre of town.
Disliked: Didn't realise when booking that the room would be in a totally different building to the hotel, approx 50m. Breakfast was extra charge and served in the main hotel which we chose not to have (couple of supermarkets close by). The building was attached to another hotel (Hotel Camillas) but had a completely separate entrance and no reception. It felt very insecure. The building was like a block of flats and didn't feel welcoming. The room (they called it an apartment as it had microwave and fridge, although no sink other than bathroom) was very dark and dated. It was clean and the good shower and heated towel rail was a bonus. There was no hotel service to the room IE towel change etc. Despite being given a password there was no internet to connect to and the TV was basic. It was very echoey and you can hear other people in the corridors and rooms. If you want to be away from the main hotel and don't mind basic then this would be fine, but definitely not worth the cost.
