Very good
Fabulous stop for the windmills
Liked: Convenient for the windmills and the main road. On road parking good. Friendly and helpful. Angela was a friendly and professional host. We had the Menu del dia which was great value for money. The room was spacious and comfortable.
Disliked: Nothing it was what we expected
Liked: The hotel is very authentic, clean and tidy. The breakfast is good, the personal speaks Spanish, Ukrainian and a little bit English. A lot of parking places around. Good place to sleep if you happened to be in this place
Disliked: There were some problems with WiFi
Good value for money in Consuegra
Liked: A good value for money in Consuegra
Disliked: Lightning isn’t great in the toilets. I also recommend installing soap dispenser instead of providing the personal ones (not ecological)
Clean comfortable stay at a good price
Liked: Traditional Posada located 10-15 mins walk from the old quarter and around 20 mins walk to the windmills and castillo which are on the edge of town but up a steep incline. The town is lovely, especially the views from the windmills which stretch for miles. Rooms are clean and basic as reflected in the price and a traditional Breakfast was good enough but don't expect a cooked option. It was useful to know some Spanish as this is a local town which we really loved.
Disliked: Nothing really; we've stayed in a few of these local places and they are often a lovely stay for little money in a great location.
Tired hotel with minimal breakfast
Liked: The beds were comfortable. The town itself is well worth a visit to see all the windmills, famously associated with Don Quixote.
Disliked: I wouldn't call it breakfast – just a croissant and coffee. When we asked for more, we were immediately charged extra. The bathroom was small, with a shower curtain that didn't reach all the way down to the floor. The hotel felt old and dark, and the staff seemed uninterested.
A wonderful family-owned guesthouse, local & authentic
Liked: The owners are very kind people and it's a great atmosphere. A simple place, with everything in order. The room was clean and spacious, rustic looking. The breakfast that comes is a classic toast with tomato but you can order a tasty tortilla extra. Staying in Consuegra, and travelling by car - a no brainer if you want a decent, local place with no crazy luxuries but everything comfortable. It would've been fun to stay some more eves there to enjoy the bar atmosphere downstairs (the inn vibe!) but we had to make our way down South.
Disliked: We arrived quite late, later than our check-in, and actually it was great the owners were waiting for us. As we were tired, wasn't sure where to park - it was street parking which we weren't sure about at the start. However, it's a safe little town and actually everything was OK.
