Exceptional
Fabulous stop on our walking holiday. Would thoroughly recommend
Liked: Breda is a terrific, friendly and very helpful host. She came to collect us from Cortes de la frontera. The outside area and the pool. Terrific views.
Disliked: The only small thing would be the bed could have been a bit bigger.
Just the ticket
Liked: Our first visit, just two nights midweek, we absolutely loved it. Peaceful location nestled in the sierra, south and west facing terraces to sit out, apartment nicely separated from other guests. The pool is a real bonus! The apartment had everything we needed. Breda and Thierry are kind and experienced hosts and treated us so well. It's the sort of easygoing and straightforward experience that has almost disappeared in these fussy and overhosted times. Hope to return, but for longer.
Disliked: Nada. Be aware that the pueblo is a little way away, there is but one bar and a small supermarket, so be organised!
Delightful 10-day stay in a quaint, rural Andalusian retreat
Liked: My wife and I loved the location, which is very central for hiking and exploring western Andalusia, as well the quiet country serenity. The ability to close the shutters in the bedroom and block out all light (and sleep in) was helpful for overcoming jet lag. I still miss sleeping there. The hosts are absolutely wonderful and gave us very helpful tips for our follow on travels in Morocco. Their dog is a kind gentle spirit who occasionally accompanied me for an afternoon nap on the terrace.
Disliked: The hot water in the shower could be intermittent, but we readily adapted. We scared ourselves more than once driving twisty winding road that leads up to Cortes de le Frontera - and we were the sober ones! Coming down from the town, the 10th curve seemed most treacherous.
A peaceful and charming retreat, perfect for unwinding
Liked: The surroundings were peaceful and beautiful, perfect for a relaxing stay. The pool was clean and well-maintained, and the location felt private yet accessible. The property had a charming, rustic feel that added to the experience.
Disliked: There wasn’t much I didn’t like. Everything was lovely overall. The only small thing would be having a bit more light on the stairs going up, as it felt quite dark at night.
Rural beauty
Liked: The hosts Breda and Thierry were wonderful and very accommodating. Their place is a bit farther from Ronda than we thought but it was a gorgeous drive and the property is outstanding.
Weekend getaway
Liked: The owners were very welcoming and friendly... it's a lovely finca in a tranquil area... we had a comfortable apartment and thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pool and our stay... we will definitely return...
