One of the best hostel in Tenerife!

Liked: The vibe of the hostel is one of the best, having every week activities, like the classic Wednesday barbecue followed by the party in a local salsa bar, yoga, football, volleyball, surfing, sunset or recommending many other things to do. If a single person and like to travel, is one of the greatest place to make friends. Alessandro, one of the owners, is a such a cool guy, and he made this hostel probably one if the best on Tenerife south. Definitely I will comeback and I highly recommend to everyone to go there.

    Disliked: Nothing to dislike

Liked: Even though I arrived right in the middle of the BBQ rush, the staff still took the time during check-in to explain in detail how the hostel worked and to show me where to find everything I might need. That’s not something you usually experience in hostels, and I really appreciated the effort! It was also great to meet some people living in the island at the BBQ and then head to the flamenco bar together afterwards. I had a really fun time!

    Un viaje de Ida!

Liked: Honestly, everything was perfect! Definitely one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at since I started travelling, if not the best. The common areas are cleaned regularly throughout the day, which really makes the stay more pleasant. The activities organised by the hostel are also really fun and a great way to meet other travellers and make new friends. The location is great, and at the same time the hostel is really quiet, so you can actually relax and get some good sleep. I had such a great stay at La Tortuga and would definitely come back. 100% recommend! 🐢🌴

    Disliked: Nada todo perfecto!

Liked: Great for organising activities and friendly stuff. Nice garden and ok position (far from the centre but if you have a car plenty of parking)

Disliked: Very dirty kitchen and a bit disorganised but not too bad. Compared to many hostels I’ve been the stuff could organise social events better, for example we only managed to join a sunset and beach volley activity and it was nice, but there very not pub crawls or activities to go out in the night together. Well, there was but mostly organised and discussed among the stuff and not really shared with the guests. Even the first night joining a bar close to the hostel if you checked in a bit late you were not really involved in the group and the stuff was mostly partying among each other.

Liked: I had a great stay! Everything was perfect and very clean. And even though they say there is no breakfast included, I was pleasantly surprised to see that they offer free cake and coffee in the morning.

A perfect cozy launching point for Tenerife adventure

Liked: The staff and volunteers are all wonderful and make for a great vibe at the hostel. There is a fun community vibe without being a distinctly "party" or youth hostel. There were fun activities to participate in almost every day and it was easy to make friends. Easy walking distance to all the beaches and tourist spots while still being in a nice quiet street. The staff and volunteers keep the hostel very clean, and if you're lucky you'll get to hang out with the resident cats at night.

Disliked: The bunks in the dorms are not really private; no screens, curtains, etc, so bare this in mind if it's something that matters to you.
