  A little far from town

  Liked: Beautiful building and a very nice room.

  Disliked: There was often no one at the front desk, even at times when arrivals might be checking in. Service generally a little slow with just one very hard working waitress trying to serve the entire place AND do something about the front desk. The location is convenient for travelers by car. But it is a considerable distance from the railroad station, the bus station, or the center of town. I wanted to use a taxi. But with Noone at the desk I couldn't get one. It might be a good idea to put a business card for a local taxi service up somewhere near the front desk. There is a cork board right by the door which might serve this purpose.

  Facility needs help

  Liked: Location

  Disliked: Shower curtain pours outside shower area. Had to manually dry a big slippery area after every shower. Room heater did not work. Staff not helpful. Would not stay there again

  Gracias!

  Liked: I didn't spend much time there except nights, The staff was friendly and gave me good change to train my rally-Spanish:D Room was quiet and warm. Only minus is the location, halfway between Don Benito and Villanueva de la Serena, no public transportation there. But I got rides from some locals and on my departure date the staff called a taxi for me. The breakfast is simple and basic, but you get what you pay for.

  Maybe OK for 1 night while passing through but will not stay here again

  Liked: Breakfast OK if all you want is toast. They have no idea how to make tea. The shower was good but no plug for the wash basin... wasting water!

  Disliked: Only 1 member of staff (the night receptionist) spoke English. Generally the staff were surly and not interested in assisting guests (even if you could find one to ask). Cafeteria was only open for food at erratic times/days. There was an awful smell (I think from the drains) in the en suite bathroom. No sound proofing between rooms, so very noisy.
