  decent place for the locals. not very appropriate for international guests

  Liked: Breakfast was good. Room was decent.

  Disliked: kettle for morning tea coffee was not provided. the card key was not working properly. the staff was not ready to accommodate English speaking guests. the restaurant could not give me any vegetarian dish except semi grilled veggies. The person waiting at the restaurant did not understand English. an old gentleman waiting at the breakfast buffet was proficient in English and helpful too.

  Lovely building and grounds, but sorry not again

  Liked: A beautiful hotel but sadly situated opposite a very loud fun fair and on a semi industrial estate.

  Disliked: All the indoor facilities were closed, no restaurant, no bar. When we asked we were informed that we would be able to eat out by the pool area. The men serving were I’m sad to say the men waiters most incompetent and untrained guys I have ever come across. One tall guy was just about able to walk in his dirty trainers and looked at us as if to say “ what are you doing here!” We ordered Ceviche to share as a stater, and it was the most un ceviche like platter I had ever seen! ( we have lived before in Peru and know what ceviche is) we also ordered a entrecot steak, both arrived at the same time, when ordering the waiter didn’t bother to ask us how we wanted the steak so it came very rare we some fries which looked like they had been hanging around for a long time. We orders a cafe con leche with a cortado, very hot please. The grumpy guy came with two cafe con leche Luke warm. At breakfast the guy with sore feet greeted us with his usual face! The orange juice jug was empty, I asked four times for some and eventually he placed a glass of juice on the bar without a word and walked off. Even when we booked out to leave the key we were simply asked “which room” I answered and simply got an Ok. No how was your stay, nada! A case of URGENT TRAINING for all the staff is definitely worth considering.

  Value for money stay with good service

  Liked: Breakfast had a good assortment of options. Room was not extremely clean when entered. Toilet in bathroom was not completely clean. Pool was a great add on.

  Disliked: An iron in the cupboard to iron shirts from luggage would have been a nice addition. A coffee machine/kettle in the room to mak coffe would also have been nice.
