Great option for the caminito if you can afford it

Liked: Perfect location for doing the Caminito del Rey, and a beautiful setting. Very helpful staff. Comfy spacious room with a jacuzzi bath. Decent restaurant for dinner.

Disliked: Pool not heated so was very refreshing at the end of October, ie freezing! Breakfast was ok, nothing special but plenty on offer.

Liked: Hotel and facilities are beautyfull. We experienced a beefest in the village just few walking minutes away. Staff very nice and helpul

Disliked: We had a room n 2nd floor in main builing and the walls are not aoundproof. Even worse, we heard every word from both sides. A person who does not sleep well woulf suffer

Great hotel, shame about the restraunt staff and system

Liked: The rooms ate unique and full of character and charm. The views are amazing.

Disliked: The restraunt staff were not the friendliest. The booking system is flawed, we were booked in at 6.30pm and not allowed a window table to see the sun set over the mountains as they were reserved for people who booked before us, we left at 8pm, it was dark and still no one sat at those tables, what a waste. We stayed 3 nights, the same happened each night... we would not return for this reason.

Most importantly. Replace your worn out mattress with a more comfortable one

Liked: A very picturesque location. There are no other hotels near the trail, which explains the high price. Parking is available. The staff is very friendly. There’s a good restaurant with a terrace and high-quality food.

Disliked: Old furniture, worn-out towels, bedding, blankets, a burned-out light bulb somewhere, something that won't turn on... The bed was uncomfortable because the foam mattress sagged under my weight, which isn’t even that heavy. After spending the night there, my back hurt, even though I’m not usually prone to that. So, the price per night is unreasonably high, but there is no choice —it’s the only one hotel on the trail.

    Great location but

Liked: The location for the Caminito Del Rey and the train back to Malaga

Disliked: The rooms were uncomfortable due to narrow spiral staircase. The staff in the restaurant and bar area, weren't very friendly and sometimes we felt ignored.
