  Nice historic building, facilities could be better

  Liked: The history of the building and the e closeness to a buzzing central food street. Nice and friendly receptionist.

  Disliked: Lift was not working smoothly, no kettle to boil water, no coffee or tea sachets, no showergel in the shower, no light on the floor in the evening. Decor of apartment soulless, could be more in line with the history of the building. Towels thin and old. Cleaning staff came into room before we had checked out.

  Beautiful hotel in the heart of Puerto de Santa Maria

  Liked: There are places you rate the rooms, the facilities, the cleanliness and then there are places, like Casa Palacio de los Leones where the energy and aura of the place cannot be rated. Once you enter the building, it transfers you to another era and it’s so atmospheric that you would not mind any inconvenience- non existent! Our apartment was nice, spacious and the washing machine was a plus for a family travelling with young kids. I particularly loved the roof terrace that reminded me of Greece and warm summer evenings. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location is ideal. Would definitely recommend and hope to get back at some point.

  Disliked: Would love some extra natural light in the room but otherwise loved everything.

  The apartment has great potential. Our stay was uncomfortable and we would not use again. Providing basic facilities o

  Liked: Location was perfect central to the town. Fabulous architectural building with a fascinating history, as described on information on the walls of the lobby. Green lush open interior courtyard with plants on the interior balconies. A very calm and peaceful atmosphere.

  Disliked: This Our apartment 2A, was a disappointment to say the least, firstly it had no heating due air con not working, & 2 very inadequate small heaters provided for bedrooms. No addition blankets provided & one very flat pillow on each bed. No very comfortable. Kitchen facilities bare minimum, old and tired. No kettle to boil water, we had to use a saucepan to make tea. One very old stove top coffee percolator, which had seen & we preferred not to use! All the doors within had to be manhandled to open and even then only partially opened as they were jammed on the floor. Squeezing through the door into the bathroom & then trying to close became a chore. Balcony doors were similar, only one could be opened, but we avoided this as it was so cold.

  Nice apartment in a lovely building

  Liked: I first stayed here about 15 years ago (I think) and it was a lovely building and apartment with one drawback- the furniture wasn’t great. Now there’s been a makeover with new (IKEA?) furniture.

  Disliked: I found the bed wasn’t firm enough, but that may be just me..
