Exceptional
A perfectly cosy cabin
Liked: This chalet is a great holiday rental. Built entirely of warm-orange wood, we found it attractive, spacious, comfortably furnished and well-laid out. It's a rental where the host has actually considered convenient living: there's a good firm bed and blackout blinds to ensure a good night's sleep; the kitchen has plenty of crockery and utensils (even a teapot and kettle as well as a coffee pot), the knives aren't blunt or bent, etc. The deep veranda is great for eating meals and afternoon sitting. Valdelagrana has everything you need - shops and bars along the seafront, a long beautiful beach with safe, shallow sea swimming (very quiet in late October). Also easy walking access to great birdwatching on the Torunos saltmarshes, and if you go north across the main road and under the railway underpass, you can see flamingoes on the saltpans.
Disliked: Not much to change. A foldout sun-lounger would be a nice addition on the verandah.
Superb
Liked: Very well equipped with nice terrace and small garden. The proximity to the beach and quiet area is a big plus. Easy access to Cadiz/Jerez/Sanlucar. The host, Mercedes, was very helpful with anything we needed. We felt very welcomed ☺️
Disliked: I am not giving a 10 because during warmer days it was too hot inside and the mosquitos net would be nice to have to be able to sleep with the windows open.
Comfortable with most basic things provided
Liked: Location very convenient for visiting Cadiz and Jerez. Shops and restaurants nearby.
Disliked: There was no kettle or hairdryer. It was quite dark inside. Needed bigger bulbs. There was nowhere to put things in the shower or to hang a shower towel.
Lovely family place
Liked: A lovely wooden house with very new furniture, good space and very comfortable. Everything in the house works fine and there are supplies to stay for long period without any problem. The owner is a lovely person and let us feel like we are at home. The house was very clean when we arrive and it was very easy to pick up the key. The communication with the owner was very easy and fast. I do recommend the place and I hope I can stay there again.
