Exceptional
For someone who enjoys sitting in a beautifully landscaped garden and surfing the waves
Liked: The Casa do Merlo house is surrounded by a beautifully landscaped garden where you can sit comfortably. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful during our stay. If you are a bonsai fan, you will be delighted with them. The owner will be happy if you get itchy fingers to tidy them up a bit, if you have this knowledge. The details of the house are very old and you can feel this touch. I was fascinated by the interior. The breakfast was fantastic, although I was confused at first, because I had to choose it using google forms. In the end, it turned out to be a great way of efficiency and sustainability. If you want to surf the waves, there is also a great place nearby for that.
Disliked: My stay was to short:)
Liked: Great location for the area. A lovely walk to the beach and a nice 40 minute walk along the boardwalk to Cathedrals Beach. Comfortable room. Lots of charm and character.
Disliked: Limited options for restaurants in the area.
Great place!
Liked: A very nice place, but the biggest local attractions (caved beaches) were so crowded, we didn't actually have chance to visit them. The breakfast was incredible!
Disliked: The local food (in the village, not on premises) wasn't the best (due to touristic influx on Semana Santa, I suppose).
Cozy, cute and lovely staff
Liked: Extremly lovely place! Can only recommend it! The room was so cozy, cute and comfortable. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Garden is fantastic.
Disliked: A bit poorly soundproved (you can hear people snoring in other rooms🙃)

Relaxing stay at a lovely Spanish retreat!
Liked: I’m Barreiros is a hidden gem of a location and Casa Do Merlo is a wonderful spot to tuck yourself away for a relaxing visit of the beaches and coast of Galacia. Javier is a wonderful host who is very attentive and communicative. He provided guidance regarding local sites and activities, and lent us towels for our beach day (also, walking distance to the beaches! The breakfast is wonderful, the coffee excellent!
