  Liked: A very beautiful hotel that took us by surprise in a very pleasant way. The hotel's design, the size of the rooms, the size of the swimming pools, and its location right on the oceanfront are the hotel's strong points.

  Disliked: In general, the staff was very good. There were a few minor exceptions, however—such as the person working at the bar by the lower pool (Lipari), whose behavior was arrogant and insolent, which was completely inappropriate—as well as the woman responsible for cleaning the room, who did a superficial job and would forget to replace towels, shower gel, and other items.

  Extremely disappointed in total

  Disliked: We stayed here previously in February and returned expecting a nice holiday, but this trip was an absolute nightmare. If you have self-respect, do not book this hotel. First, they gave us the wrong room. We explicitly booked the exact same room type we had in February, but we were given a tiny one-bedroom instead. When we complained, the receptionist (the one wearing glasses) claimed our previous room had been a "complimentary upgrade." This was a blatant lie. A few minutes later, she backtracked and said we could have the better room if we paid an extra €90 per night! We checked Booking.com right then and saw our booked room was not only available, but actually cheaper than the tiny room they forced us into. The customer service is hostile and unprofessional. Knowing from our last trip that you cannot extend check-out on the final morning, we asked about a 1 PM late check-out on arrival. The receptionist was lovely at first and told us to come back one day before to log it. When we did, the exact same lady turned completely rude. Before I could even finish my sentence, she interrupted and says aggressively "11 AM." When I asked her to let me finish and reminded her of what she promised on arrival, she just kept aggressively saying "no" in an angry voice. The rest of the hotel and service is just as bad: - Zero Room Service: They say "no" to everything. For example: We asked for a bucket of ice and were refused unless we bought a bottle of Prosecco. - Bad Housekeeping: The cleaners skipped our room entirely one day. Another day, they took away one of our champagne glasses and just left us with one. - Restaurant ala carte: We tried to move our à la carte dinner reservation from 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM, but were told they were "extremely busy." When we sat there from 7:30 to 9:30 PM, the restaurant was 70% empty. If you want the buffet instead, it is an overpriced €30 per person (€40 on Fridays).

  Second time at the hotel our first experience was great but this time pretty poor

  Nice break to relax

  Liked: A big hotel with a nice location and great view. We had a superior room, and it was quite big and comfortable, and nice terrace with a direct sea view. It has 2 pool areas, and access to a public beach. Food was good and they try to make some varieties every day.

  Disliked: The noise isolation is not good. We could hear the noises from the corridor and from the next room. They didn't stop watching TV all the time, and it was a bit stressful to sleep. Food was good in the beginning but became really hard to enjoy after 4-5 days. The oil smell of the restaurant was sticking on you every time. The staff was nice in general, thank you for their service, but most of them looked unhappy, which tells something about the place. The pool bar could have more food options, like fries etc. Prices in the hotel were Zurich prices, and quite high comparing to local places.
