Potential to be great, but more attention to detail is needed

Liked: The property is beautiful, peaceful, and has all the ingredients to be a truly outstanding stay. The views are stunning, and the rooms themselves are potential attractive and comfortable. That said, several details need attention to elevate the overall guest experience.

Disliked: The path to the rooms is entirely gravel. If you arrive with a heavy suitcase, you'll need to carry it yourself, as nothing is provided to help transport luggage across the gravel. The room itself did not smell particularly pleasant. There was a strong lingering fireplace odor, and after showering, the smell coming from the drain became quite noticeable and filled the room. Amenities: no shower gel or shampoo provided, no firewood for the fireplace, and nothing available to light the candles. There are also no curtains covering the entrance door, which means very little privacy, especially as there is a direct line of sight into the bathroom from that angle. Additionally, there is no storage space for clothes and no blankets available to comfortably enjoy the outdoor seating area during cooler evenings. Breakfast was decent but felt somewhat conservative. For example, a simple boiled egg would have been a welcome addition. What is particularly disappointing is that many of these points appear repeatedly in reviews from previous guests. It's a shame that little seems to have been done to address them, because it is precisely these small details that would transform this stay from good to great.

Finca Solea - a destination in itself. Highly recommended!

Liked: Wow! This is finca is such great value, and our stay here was the highlight of our visit to Andalucia. Our room was delightfully furnished, roomy and very comfortable. We loved the bathtub, and the bed was amazing. Views from the finca are astounding, and it’s only a short walk from wonderful Zahara de la Sierra. Breakfast was served with local produce, and was delicious. Our two year old son loved seeing the horses outside the stables, and splashing in the pool. A special thanks to the finca for keeping the pool open so late in the year, it made our stay even better, despite the water being cold. Don’t miss out on the fincas delicious olive oil, it’s really good.

Disliked: I just wish we had planned to spend more of our time here, as leaving was heartbreaking.

Peaceful, beautiful stay on the fringe of town

Liked: On the edge of town, an easy walk in, this place was so beautiful. Absolutely lovely place to stay for a few nights with our family. The interiors are pared-back and peaceful.

    Beautiful peaceful place

Liked: The location was incredible, stunning view over the lake. Room decor gorgeous. Excellent breakfast.

Disliked: Just a few little details where decor has trumped over usefulness. Like places to put wash bags in bathroom, no bin in the main room, nowhere to store clothes in drawers.
