Great location, good atmosphere, not that comfortable

Liked: The hotel is in a very nice village very close to the Valles Occidentales natural park. It's a great base location for hiking day trips. Our stay was for four nights, and most of the time the was only one person managing everything. Overall the staff was attentive and caring. The restaurant has pretty decent food, but it's not very reliable. It's best to ask in advance for the availability to prepare food. There's nice outside sitting. A lot of cyclists and bikers stop by. It's a nice athmosphere. There's a big sitting area inside with a TV, books, and a small fridge where guests can store goods.

Disliked: There are two things that were truly uncomfortable, and I wish they would be addressed by the hotel owners or management. The shower in the rooms is clearly not working, as I have read from other reviews. It's a button style shower, without temperature regulation. The water was cold on the first day, and kept cold. In four nights I only had one reasonably warm shower, on the last day. Second thing is the room temperature. It was too hot. There was air conditioning but it wasn't working.

    Superb

Liked: Excellent treks nearby, highly recommend this place as a base camp for your daily outings. The restaurant is excellent and serves excellent local meals. The room we chose was very big. We would stay here again.
