  Liked: A small hotel perfectly located for the places we wished to visit. It had a bar on-site which was perfect as it was out of town.

  Liked: Very attractive building with views over the countryside from the verandah. Room was spacious and comfortable with excellent shower.

  Disliked: We arrived late afternoon on a Tuesday after a long motorbike ride. We were told that neither the restaurant nor the bar were open that day. There was no mention of this on the Booking site. No explanation was given. The location is a long walk back into town. There was a language barrier, but the owner did his best to help us. Breakfast was basic, but nice out on the verandah.

  Great location - would stay again

  Liked: The location was perfect. We stayed here because it was close to friends who live in the area. We had booked a Parador nearby which let us down at short notice as refurbishments were not completed in time to open. We were very pleased to find rooms here for 6 of us - as 4 other fellow travellers were accommodated at the same place. We took 5 rooms in all. The breakfasts were Spanish style but fresh and worth the price. We had one evening meal at the Michelin star restaurant whch was extremely good and very good value.

  Disliked: One day there was no water pressure for a while caused by a fault in the village. There was not enough water to take a shower. Everyone was inconvenienced but it did not last for more than a few hours. The staff could be a bit grumpy at times.

  Liked: Disappointed to arrive and find the restaurant not open in the evening or the next day, so no breakfast. It's marketed as a rural hotel so there should be some provision for guests, even on a Monday. Overall this felt like poor value for money.
