  What a gem, so glad we found it!

  Liked: This hotel was a highlight of our trip! The staff were all so friendly and eager to please, in particular Jose Maria who was such an aimiable host. Our room (114) was a fabulous surprise with its kitchenette and doors out onto a large private terrace overlooking the gardens to the rear - and being on the rear it was very quiet too. Spotlessly clean throughout, a spacious and stylish lobby area to enjoy and the gardens to wander in - just a lovely place to stay, I wish we could have had longer as the hotel is ideally situated to explore not just the lovely town but the gorgeous countryside surrounding it. Street parking outside for our motorcycle was not a problem but even so Jose Maria offered to let us take it into the garden if we had any concerns. We'd love to go back!

  Liked: 1. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. We received a very warm welcome upon arrival, and they took the time to tell us about the village and the surrounding area, which was very helpful. 2. The hotel and its grounds are beautiful and well maintained. In fact, we wished we had spent more time there, especially in the peaceful private garden area, which is perfect for relaxing. 3. Our room was quite spacious, featuring a large comfortable bed and a wonderful balcony overlooking the inner garden. The view was lovely and added a lot to the overall experience.

  Disliked: 1. Our stay coincided with a hot day, and the night remained very warm as well. The room did not have air conditioning, only a ceiling fan, which was not sufficient to keep the room comfortable. We had to keep the window open, but because there were no insect screens, various insects kept flying into the room throughout the night. Unfortunately, this made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. If installing air conditioning is not feasible, I believe insect screens or a similar solution would be essential. 2. Another issue worth mentioning was the strong and persistent artificial fragrance in both the room and the corridor. It smelled like synthetic strawberry candy and was noticeable throughout our stay. While some guests may not mind it, we found it a bit overpowering and would have preferred a more neutral scent. 3. We did not have breakfast at the hotel, so I cannot comment on its quality. However, based on what I saw, the price seemed a little high. Overall, we had a very positive impression of the hotel. The staff, the room, and the grounds were all excellent. I would happily stay here again, although I would probably avoid visiting during the hottest part of the year.

  Excellent location, lovely staff and comfortable stay

  Liked: The staff were very understanding and kind - we came to this hotel after having our reservation cancelled last minute with no warning by one of the more popular hotels. We were lucky enough to find a room at Antiguas Eras La Alberca and the receptionist was kind enough to give us a free upgrade. The location was very good - less than 5 minutes walking to the centre of the town, but as the hotel wasn't in the centre, the area felt tranquil and the view were beautiful. The facilities were excellent, feeling clean and up to date without disrupting the historic feel of the hotel.

  Disliked: Nothing - I was very satisfied with the stay overall.

  Very nice stay in a beautiful part of the world

  Liked: The breakfast was adequate and it helps that there are few users and it's not crowded. Location is great and the staff are warm and helpful.

  Disliked: The room doesn't have air conditioner, sheets and towels are not changed everyday and breakfast without eggs is weird in Spain.
