Liked: Its position is fantastic with ample parking ad big rooms

Disliked: La recepción estaba un poco “dormida”, la cafeteria es un poco cutre para la categoria que pretenden ofertar. Les vendria bien poner alguna música de ambiente y no programas tipo “salvame”..una decoración mas cuidada

Great hotel, some improvement needed in the restaurant
Liked: The hotel and surrounding villas were beautiful, it felt like stepping into a medieval resort in the best way. Check in staff were very friendly. Spa and outdoor pool were great. Surrounding área and town (la alberca) were fantastic.
Disliked: The dinner for us was not great. The service was not in keeping with a four star hotel. The waiter started walking away when we were in the middle of ordering our drinks, and we had to ask him to come back to finish ordering drinks. We ran out of drinks and it was quite hard to get our server's attention to get more water. I think the server was too busy to attend to so many tables. (We speak Spanish fluently, so it was not a language/miscommunication issue). The food was trying to be fancy but missed the mark with some basic preparation issues (both the goose egg and egg in the sopa castellana had quite a bit of uncooked slimy white (clara), the egg in the sopa castellana was also very cold which did not taste good in the hearty warm soup. The bacalao cod had quite a few bones. The menu is far too long, and I think it would be a great improvement to make the menu much shorter but execute each dish on the smaller menu with better attention to detail. In all, we really liked the hotel and would return, but would probably have dinner in a different restaurant in La Alberca.
