  Liked: A very traditional little cottage, which is in a beautiful location. The water was nice and hot. There were little electric heaters which were a good addition for us, as the weather was quite cold whilst we there.

  Disliked: There are some reviews about insects and worms in the House. We had them too, but they were not a real problem, it must be something about the location of the cottage in the side of the valley, they do come in, typically after a day there were about 15 in the house, easy to sweep away. Not a problem. If you do not have a car, then the walk to the supermarket or Bar Sonia the nearest place to eat in Chipude is about 30 minutes. If you are staying here as a stop on the GR131 bear this in mind, also that on a Sunday the supermarket is closed. The Team here did leave us some water on request which was kind.

  Very basic accommodation. Lots of insects sheltering from the cold and wet outside!

  Liked: The location is fantastic and ideal for walking. Unfortunately, the weather in early spring was very poor. A place to stay in the summer.

  Disliked: When we arrived the key safe was broken. We had to wait 40 minutes for the housekeeper to come back with an alternative key. Fortunately it wasn’t raining at that point, but this would have been a major issue an hour later when it started to pour with rain as there was nowhere to shelter. The facilities are very dated. We stayed here 10 years ago and the kitchen equipment and bedding seemed to be the same as then. The accommodation is not so cheap to justify such poor fittings. The owner needs to spend some money on improving the property

  Wonderful place for a quiet rural getaway

  Liked: This is a delightful little house in Los Manantiales, a remote hamlet of a dozen or so houses. There is a lovely view of hills and barrancos from the window, and also from the sunny patio. The shower was hot and the WiFi was solid. The bedding was plentiful for the cold nights that are possible here, although we had pleasant weather in February. There is plenty of heating in the house. It's about a 20-minute walk to Chipude where there is a restaurant, a bar and a small grocery shop (closed Sundays).

  Liked: The location is very nice - decent distance from the airport and also very close to Garajonay park and other scenic places. The accommodation itself is located in very secluded area where we felt connected with beautiful La Gomera nature. Also the road leading to the place are in a good quality and easily drivable.

  Disliked: For some reason, there were many millipedes insects in the accommodation. Maybe it was due to weather and humidity conditions, but anyways it was quite annoying to have them around our stuff and even on bathroom sink etc. They kept appearing again and again, even if we tried to get rid of the big part of them.

  Liked: We had a great time and experiences staying in this place, proper village experience, nice apartment where we felt homely, beautiful view from terrace, quiet, great contact with nature, apartment clean, good for cooking, warm covers, electric heaters, warm water... Everything that you need. Happy to come back in a more sunny time to appreciate the surroundings. Mist morning was amazing. Almost No people around.

  Disliked: Check in time was a bit late but understood.
