Fabulous
Look somewhere else
Liked: The overall concept would be good.
Disliked: We arrived to TAMARAGUA bungalows with my brother. We planned a 5 day holiday. Upon arrival we experienced a very strong unbearable odour of some cleaning chemical. As we discovered the apartment, we noticed that it pretty dirty. The walls and the sofa had stains, the shower cabinet had water scale. The kitchen was dirty as well, the silvers and glasses were also dirty. The lamps at the living room, and some blinders weren’t working. After some hours, ants showed up all around the kitchen. We were hesitant to leave, and look for an another apartment, but eventually we decided that we stay as at least the beds looked fine if the cleaning odour would disappear after some time. At the second night I got an extensive diarrhea accompanied with vomiting. I was suspecting food poisoning. But after two days, my brother had exactly the same, so it must have been a virus. As we recovered very quickly I suspect it was a Noro virus. We can’t know for sure, but I would bet we got infected at the apartment due to bad hygiene. This basically ruined half of our vocation as I couldn’t go anywhere or eat for a day. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. We learned the lesson that we should never stay in case of such conditions upon arrival.
Liked: Very quiet part of town, lovely and peaceful, nice terrace can be a little windy but very spacious. Facilities are very good, full hob if required cooking (not that we did) great fridge, washing machine etc. Bars restaurants short walk less than 10 mins or about 20-30 mins to old town area.
Disliked: A little out of town, a small gradient walk, so if unsteady on your feet you might need to reconsider.
Liked: The location was peaceful
Disliked: Very poor communication. Not clean bedding inadequate very basic amenities
It's ok if you don't mind walking
Liked: The property itself was fine. Not a 5 star accommodation but it wasn't a kip either. The TV was good. The cooking facilities were adequate. The area was generally quiet at night. The property was clean. The WiFi worked fine.
Disliked: It was just that 1-2 kilometre too far from everything. You would reach Los Christianos bus depot & you still have a 15 minute walk to the property at a decent walking pace. If you don't like walking I wouldn't recommend it. Also, I could hear scratching in the wall cavity at night in my room. I found falling asleep difficult for most of my stay.
Lovely bungalow with good facilities and ideal for a couple or young family
Liked: Located in a very quiet part of Los Cristianos
Disliked: Would have preferred it to had Aircon as the fan was a little noisy. The neighbours were born in a different decade to us and it could have been a little quieter at times.
Liked: The location
Disliked: No personal contact. Everything is with key lockers although this is not officially allowed in Tenerife. The code given was not correct and after calling the thirth code given was correct. The first night the double bed broke. Bedpost was broken so it was not checked before arrival For fixing it we should have to stay on site. The appartement had a bad odeur. There is no airco and the fans worked after searching the remote that worked. Appartement for sleeping is not comfortable and hot. Contact by phone the owner was very rude. Also it seems that everything is not really official as no request was made to fill in the necessary registration documents.
