Good location, but not 4 Star standard

Liked: The breakfast was good, and the breakfast staff were friendly.

Disliked: the reception staff could benefit from additional training in customer service and hospitality. As a guest, I would expect a four-star hotel to provide a high standard of service, including a friendly welcome and a professional attitude. Unfortunately, one member of the reception staff complained about a customer over the phone while other guests were present at the reception. This was unprofessional and created an unpleasant impression. A friendlier attitude and a simple smile would go a long way toward creating a more welcoming atmosphere. Considering the hotel’s four-star rating and the price of the stay, I expected a higher standard of hospitality and professionalism. Additionally, there was visible water damage on the ceiling in the toilet, which should be inspected and repaired. Overall, the good breakfast and friendly breakfast staff were positive aspects of the stay, but the reception service and the maintenance issue did not meet my expectations for a four-star hotel.
