Lovely staff & location but change the flooring in the standard rooms

Liked: Staff were excellent. The cafe/bar in reception was absolutely delightful, as was the linked bigger bar/lounge next door. Central location ideal. Room cleaned well, daily.

Disliked: I had the standard room which unfortunately is too small for 2 people staying several days, with hardly any space for clothes (a small rack). So carefully consider this room if staying for several days. Room decor and paintwork needs a bit of touching up. Expensive for size of room but essentially paying for the central location (not a problem). But I gave low scores because of the HORRIBLE flooring. It feels like a mix of vile coarse rubber & tarmac. There are hairs stuck in it. I've never seen anything like it. Who on earth decided to install this in a "boutique" hotel?! Other people have said same thing (reviews). I repeat, it's truly HORRIBLE HORRIBLE to walk on. Get rid of it! I gather that other floors have decent flooring.

Tolerable, main benefit is location l, but never book again

Liked: Location, nice staff, towel change and bed make up on the everyday basis.

Disliked: The hotel was extremely outdated and poorly maintained. The worst part was the flooring in the room. Instead of proper flooring, there was some kind of old, rubber-like construction material that looked like roofing felt and had a strong rubber smell. It was dirty, dusty, and looked as though it had never been properly vacuumed or cleaned. This was by far the most unpleasant part of the stay. The furniture was very old, and the room was cluttered with unnecessary pieces that took up space without serving any practical purpose. Surprisingly, there were no proper shelves or storage space for clothes. The bathroom was also outdated, and the bathtub was only practical to use as a shower. Overall, the hotel desperately needs renovation, particularly the flooring, furniture, and general cleanliness.

  Disturbing

Liked: Honestly nothing.. staff was friendly

Disliked: The room was damaged and looks unmaintained. Bathroom had no door and it was in the room next to the bed…. It felt like a hostel not a hotel. Also the floor was carpeted and the shower stand next to it with no medium to absorb the water other than the carpet. I can imagine what was growing from the water behind the perfumes they sprayed in the room and the black carpeting.
